I grew up on back roads and in a barn...literally! I am the proud daughter of a dairy farmer, was a dairy princess and loved 4H. My two brothers and I never had a family vacation but we were blessed to appreciate hard work at a young age. My rural roots have taught me to appreciate the miracle of where our food comes from, how important the weather is and just how special country living is. Some folks need coffee everyday to survive...I just need a little chocolate and some sunshine to have a good day!
My husband and I met in Middle School, dated in College, & 20+ years later...He still makes me laugh, keeps me ground, is an amazing dad, and is one of the most hardworking people. He makes me proud with everything he does! His wit and humor are what I love most about him. He is the reason I am here with a website and .com after my name. He bought me my first digital SLR and said "Do this." When I was afraid to leap he pushed me. What are the chances that the little boy who sat behind me in Middle School would turn out to be my husband? The most amazing guy and just what I've always needed.
Our family life revolves around our children and our fur babies. Our oldest, Georgia, is her own leader and seldom goes with the crowd. Loves basketball, cows, & making people happy. Hudson, our middle child, loves RED tractors and chickens. He is hardworking and wants to be a farmer. Our youngest, little Caroline, is always drawing or making something. She loves pigs, has quick wit and is free spirited while a little shy now and then. This is just a bit of our imperfect little Luft life - just who we are.

At Laura Luft Photography I approach YOUR family session as if were my own. I know, as a mom to 3 children, it's a challenge in organizing and planning family photos! I strive to ease your preparation by helping brainstorm outfit ideas to tips for preparing the kids to WANT to take photos. All I ask is that you trust me and take the plunge! It's ok if your children are not perfectly behaved - that is exactly who they are right now

Email me & let’s book this! Once you have secured your session date with a $400 retainer ($200 to cover session fee and $200 toward your product order) you are officially a Laura Luft Senior! Next, I'll send over your "homework" to start prepping for your big session.
1. BOOK IT!
Next, you will put together an Pinterest inspiration board & answer my questionnaire so we can customize your session. You'll try on all the outfits you are considering, snap pictures of those, and send them my way for consideration. Lastly we will get together, either via Facetime, Skype or in person to go over your outfits and coordinate a location(s) to match each ensemble.
2. Dream. Plan. do.
This is my favorite part! In just 2 to 3 weeks after your session, we will schedule an in-person ordering session at your home! Laura offers only the highest quality of photography and guarantees that you will fall in love with your senior portraits! Laura will personally help you place your order to get the most out of your investment.
4. Your products
It's finally here! Time to hang out with me and my camera for a few hours while we capture your amazing senior portraits. LET'S ROCK THIS!
3. Session day
DO YOU ONLY SHOOT SENIORS?
Nope! I specialize in Seniors but love shooting families throughout the year.
DO I HAVE TO DO MY SENIOR SESSION IN THE SUMMER OR FALL?
No! Not at all! We can do it ANY time of year! Our only deadline is the yearbook picture one. I have done a few quick head shots for seniors in the fall to submit for the yearbook and then have done a full senior session in the winter or spring session!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
For your choice of dates, plan to book at least 2-3 months in advance or more! Sometimes there are last-minute appointments but because I do limit my sessions to keep my creative juices flowing, only a few session dates will be added throughout the year.
I AM NERVOUS ABOUT POSING!
I totally understand that feeling! I promise you though I have studied posing for years and I will guide you. I will teach you as we go and you will pose yourself by the end of your session! You have nothing to worry!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY SESSION?
Once you’ve booked your senior session, I will send you a what-to-wear guide for lots of great fashion advice and basically everything you need to know to prepare for your session. Planning outfits is the best part! Once you have some in mind I suggest you send me a picture of your outfit so I can start planning how we can compliment it to a background location.
HOW LONG UNTIL WE SEE THE PHOTOS?
Your ordering session will most likely be scheduled within 2-3 weeks of your session.
WHAT ABOUT THE PAYMENT PROCESS?
I accept credit cards, cash and checks for payments. Booking can be done online using a credit card OR by giving me a call and then paying the retainer with cash or check. To secure a senior session date you must pay the retainer fee of $400. ($200 to cover the session fee investment, and $200 toward your future order) I do offer pre-session payment plans if you'd like to send money ahead of time to have a nice nest egg for your future order of amazing products!
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SENIOR PORTRAIT INVESTMENT?
I know deciding on a senior portrait photographer to invest in is a big decision. Rest assured I will guide through every step of your senior portrait experience so you are never unsure of what is next. All that is included in your senior experience along with other fun stuff! My amazing senior clients generally invest about $750 total in their session and keepsake portrait items, in which $400 is already paid upfront at booking time. I always try to accommodate all budgets and offer pre-session payment plans.
